ADVERTISING IN PROGRAMME MONTHLY
PROGRAMME MONTHLY & FOOTBALL COLLECTABLE is the world's biggest selling football memorabilia magazine, read by several thousands of collectors each month. all of whom have a guaranteed interest in the contents of both the magazine and the advertising supplement.
The ‘Market Place’ advertising supplement of Programme Monthly each month contains advertisements for tens of thousands of programmes, and from programme dealers whose own catalogues contain hundreds of thousands of items for sale
Advertisements are for .....
- items for sale at stated (fixed) prices
- items on offer, by postal auction, sometimes with a ‘minimum bid’ price shown, with a deadline date for close of offers stated
- items wanted, to complete collections, or dealers wishing to purchase stock
- items for exchange
To advertise in Programme Monthly & Football Collectable, simply post off the text of your advertisement, along with the appropriate remittance of 7p per word (see guidelines below as to how to calculate the number of words), to Programme Monthly, PO Box 3236, Norwich, NR7 7BE
Cheques should be made payable to J. Litster, and small value adverts may be paid for by unused UK postage stamps or Euro Notes.
State the number of issues you wish the advert to appear in (multiply the remittance by that number if you wish the advertisement to appear in more than one issue).
In addition to your advertisement appearing in Programme Monthly & Football Collectable, it can also appear in the Advertising section of this web-site, for only an additional 1p per word. If you wish the advert included in the web-site, simply pay 8p per word in total. Display advertisers may have the text of their advert on the web-site for an additional 1/7th of the cost of their magazine advert.
If you wish a high-impact, display advertisement, send the text, with a rough indication of lay-out, along with payment of £13 per issue (for a quarter page), £25 per issue (for a half page), and £45 per issue (for a full page). We can also reproduce display advertisements in full colour, on the cover pages of ‘Market Place’. Cost is £90 for a full page, and £50 for a half page, per insertion.
Display advertising may be sent ‘camera-ready’, on disk/CD or via email. A full page size is A5, with quarter and half pages in the appropriate proportions.

SOME GUIDELINES WHEN ADVERTISING IN PM'S MARKET PLACE
Team names count as one word, eg Everton = Tranmere Rovers = Preston North End = 1 word. ˜versus', ‘v' or ˜-' between teams counts as one word. The season, or date, counts as one word, eg 1929/30 = 12.12.29 = 1 word. The competition is one word (eg FA Cup), but ‘FA Cup Final’ or ‘FA Cup semi final’ constitute two words. The addition of ‘Reserves’ or ‘Youths’ or ‘XI’ or ‘Under 21’ to a team name is an additional word. Every word should be paid for at 7p per word, plus all words in the name and address. An e-mail address is 4 words. Do not assume that home teams will be typed in capital to avoid paying for a ˜v' ! Failure to send sufficient money will result in the advertisement being ‘pruned’ to fit the remittance. If in doubt, leave your cheque blank (enter a ‘not to exceed .....’ amount in words) and we will complete the correct amount. Inserts can be for 1, 2, 3 or more editions as you wish, being a multiple of 7p (or 8p) per word. All payments should be made in advance, and cheques should be made payable to J Litster
