PRESS RELEASE – PREMIER PROGRAMME FAIR
The fascination of collecting football programmes for young and old will be on display in central London on Saturday June 7th. The Premier Programme Fair takes place at the Hotel Russell, Russell Square, London, between 11am and 4pm, when hundreds of thousands of football programmes and other items of memorabilia will be on sale.
The country’s leading dealers will be displaying their wares for the first time this season.
The hobby embraces all ages, levels of enthusiasm and depth of pockets. Schoolboys can accumulate hundreds of programmes from bargain bundles and cut-price boxes without exhausting their pocket money, while at the other end of the scale pre-war and 19th Century programmes can change hands for thousands of pounds.
The occasional purchaser can enjoy a browse through dealers’ stock, bringing back memories of football matches played decades ago, and the Sheffield Programme Fair is also a perfect vehicle for selling those items of football memorabilia which have been gathering dust in the attic for many years.
Advice will be on hand for those who wish to make a start in the hobby, or take their interest further. Those wishing to sell can also obtain guidance on how to value and dispose of their items. Further details are on www.pmfc.co.uk, or telephone 01603-449237.
