Programme Binders
The Perfect Way to Store Your Football Programmes
This page provides full details of the type, size, specification, prices etc. of the binders produced by PM BINDERS. These were specially designed around 30 years ago by DJ Bookbinders, St Albans, in a variety of sizes to suit the various numbers and sizes of programmes. Dave Roberts stopped producing these several years ago, but PM Binders have restarted their manufacture. We can supply the binders, to your specification.

We have calculated the precise number, and size of binders required for storing
collections of FA CUP FINALS ; FOOTBALL LEAGUE CUP FINALS ; and
FA CHARITY SHIELD matches.

We have also developed two types of storage binders for the thicker, modern programmes.

For those who have not seen them, the binders have plastic pockets, with a divider card inserted in each pocket. Programmes can be inserted on either side of the divider, each pocket therefore holding two programmes, with both front pages on view. The pockets are fixed and permanent. Standard binders have 15 pockets (30 programmes) - thicker binders can be manufactured to hold modern prog-rammes. A description can be included on the spine, embossed in gold foil, to your specification.

Thicker binders, for storing modern programmes, can be made for either £19 or £20 (see Special Guidance Notes below)
Larger sizes (eg to accommodate A4 sized programmes, England internationals, Cup finals etc) are available at £19 each

SPECIAL GUIDANCE NOTES ON BINDERS FOR MODERN PROGRAMMES
Our standard binders are designed to accommodate up to 30 pre-1980’s programmes, with page numbers of around 24 or 28. Modern programmes, on thick gloss paper, can be 80 pages or more, and will require additional, or thicker binders.
(1) To calculate your binder requirements, stack your programmes on top of one another. Take half of the programmes and rotate them by 180 degrees.
(2) Measure the height of the stack, in centimetres.
(3) If this measures no more than 3.3 cm, then a Standard binder (at £18) will be sufficient
Between 3.4 cm and 3.8 cm, then you will require an Extra wide binder. This will cost an additional £1 (ie £19)
Between 3.9 cm and 4.6 cm, you will require an X-Extra binder. This will cost an additional £2 (ie £20)
Between 4.6 and 7.3 cm, you will require 2 x Standard binders, each at £18
Between 7.4 cm and 8.3 cm, you will require 2 x Extra wide binders, each at £19
Between 8.4 cm and 10 cm, you will require 2 x X-Extra wide binders, each at £20
Between 10.1 cm and 11.3 cm, you will require 3 x Standard binders, each at £18
Between 11.4 cm and 12.8 cm, you will require 3 x Extra wide binders, each at £19
Between 12.9 cm and 15.2 cm, you will require 3 x X-Extra wide binders, each at £20.
Binders to take A4 programmes, or similar large shapes, will cost £19 each with extra wide spines ; X-Extra wide A4 size binders will cost £20 each. This size of binder will take all modern Cup Finals, internationals etc. We can also make binders to take the modern “rectangular” or “square” size favoured by some clubs. These cost the same as A4 binders, and are A4 in width and B5 in height. If ordering, refer to them as B5/A4.
