PM Binders

The  perfect way to store your valuable programmes

A four page advertisement in each edition of PROGRAMME MONTHLY & FOOTBALL COLLECTABLE magazine describes in detail how you may  obtain display binders to store the most valuable parts of your collection. These were specially designed more than 20 years ago by Dave Roberts of DJ Bookbinders, St Albans, in a variety of sizes to suit the various numbers and  sizes of programmes.  Dave stopped producing these more than three years ago, but PM Binders have restarted their manufacture.

Needless to say, we have been inundated with orders, resulting in a very long backlog, but in due course we hope to introduce some new binder styles and types.

For the  uninitiated, the binders have plastic pockets, with a divider card inserted in  each pocket. Programmes can be inserted on either side of the divider, each pocket therefore holding two programmes, with the covers on view

We can also produce binders using archive-recommended polyester pockets - ideal for pre-war programmes, FA Cup Finals etc.   See our adverts in each edition of Programme Monthly for these DELUX binders, and for the series of binders we produce for a collection of FA Cup Finals.

We will  endeavour to meet your requirements - and match your existing binders. If you require further information that cannot be met by the above information, and the  order form reproduced opposite, please call 01603-449237, or  email progm@hotmail.com

Given that these binders have not been generally available for several years, you may have to be patient which a blacklog is worked through

SPECIAL  GUIDANCE NOTES ON ORDERING YOUR PROGRAMME BINDERS FROM PM BINDERS

BINDERS FOR MODERN PROGRAMMES

For modern Cup Finals and brochures, you will need A4 size binders (see below).  Modern League programmes (B4 size) require size D.   Old fashioned League programmes (A5 size) require size A.

Our standard binders are designed to accommodate up to 30  pre-1980s programmes, with page numbers of around 24 or 28. Modern programmes, on thick gloss paper, can be 80 pages or more, and will require more / thicker binders.

To calculate your binder requirements, stack your programmes on  top of one another. Take half of the programmes and rotate them by 180 degrees.

Measure the height of the stack, in  centimetres.

If this measures no more than 3.3 cm, then a Standard binder (at £12) will be sufficient

Between 3.4 cm and 3.8 cm, then you will require an Extra wide binder. This will cost an  additional £1 (ie £13)

Between 3.9 cm and 4.6 cm, you will require an X-Extra binder. This will cost an additional £1.50 (ie £13.50)

Between 4.6 and 7.3 cm, you  will require 2 x Standard binders, each at  £12

Between 7.4 cm and 8.3 cm, you will require 2 x Extra wide binders, each at £13

Between 8.4 cm and 10 cm,  you will require 2 x X-Extra wide binders, each at £13.50

Between 10.1 cm and 11.3 cm, you will require 3 x Standard binders, each at  £12

Between 11.4 cm and 12.8 cm, you will require 3 x Extra wide binders, each at £13

Between 12.9 cm and 15.2 cm, you will require 3 x X-Extra wide binders, each at £13.50

Binders to take A4 programmes, or similar large shapes, will cost £14 each with extra wide spines ; X-Extra wide A4 size binders will cost £15 each.  This size of binder will take all modern Cup Finals, Internationals etc.

Please note that for modern programme binders, we will use heavier plastic bags, which will bear the weight of the heavier individual programmes better than the thinner bags we use in the standard binders. These  latter binders / pockets, in the main, are designed to accommodate older  programmes.

For those of you who have orders outstanding, please accept our  apologies for the long delays you are experiencing. We have been inundated with orders, not surprisingly since it is now nearly 4 years since Dave Roberts stopped producing these binders. Please be assured that we are working as hard,  and as long, as we can to catch up on the backlog of orders. In the meantime, please continue to be patient. Thank you.

TO ORDER : Complete the order form contained in each edition of “Programme Monthly” OR email progm@hotmail.com and we will return by email an order form attachment in Microsoft Word (.doc) format.
