SELLING PROGRAMMES ETC.
There are two main ways of selling your programmes and football memorabilia. You may contact a dealer who will quote a price for your entire stock if he is interested in purchasing. The dealer will purchase the items at a significant discount to their retail value, as he has to make his profit. Dealers advertise their contact details in every edition of Programme Monthly & Football Collectable
Alternatively, you may wish to maximise your return and sell the programmes yourself and this can be done through the pages of Programme Monthly & Football Collectable magazine. You could make up your own sales list, and ask respondents to send you a stamped-addressed envelope for you to send the list to them. This would involve you in the most amount of work, but for the highest return. Or you could advertise the best items for sale or offer, individually, in the advert itself.
Each edition of Programme Monthly & Football Collectable contains hundreds of examples of both kind of advertisement.
Exceptionally, Programme Monthly & Football Collectable may offer to sell these programmes, individually, on your behalf. Cheques would be made payable to yourself by the buyers, and Programme Monthly would charge a percentage as a management fee, for which it would handle all programmes and correspondence. This arrangement would only apply where the items you have are particularly rare or old (pre 1960). Subscriptions are available for any number of months, in multiples of the above prices (e.g. a six month UK subscription is £16.80). Sterling cheques should be payable to J. Litster.
