SCOTTISH FOOTBALL  HISTORIAN

The quarterly magazine which celebrates the history and folklore of Scottish Football.


 

The latest edition is No. 110, Summer 2009, which includes articles on :

Scots who have played in the Netherlands ; the Hope brothers of Edinburgh City ; The Crow’s Feet Match between Queen’s Park and Vale of Leven in 1875 ; Forfar’s Scottish Cup run in 1981/82 ; Scots who played for Luton Town in the 19th century ; Kirkford Juniors ; Rutherglen Glencairn ; a proposed second club for Aberdeen ; the future Laws of Football as envisaged in 1892 ; Football in St Monans ; a profile of Tommy Wright, ex Sunderland, Partick Thistle, East Fife and Scotland ; a Welsh cap for a Scotsman, and all the usual features including obituaries.

Each edition comprises 28 pages  and contains original research on the history of the game in Scotland, its  personalities, players, teams etc. ; reproductions of long-forgotten articles on Scottish Football History ; book reviews, obituaries, exchange of information, and news and views of interest to all those with an interest in the history of Scottish Football.

Each edition costs £1 plus 40p p&p (UK only) from Scottish Football Historian, 43 Lady Nairn Avenue, Kirkcaldy, Fife, KY1 2AW.  Please add a further 60p for postage to Europe, and an additional £1.30 per  issue for airmail postage outside Europe.

Subscriptions may be for any number of issue, in multiples of the above amounts.
