NOTES ON THE SCOTTISH PROGRAMME OF THE YEAR AWARDS

The awards have been organised by PROGRAMME MONTHLY magazine since 1981/82, prior to that by the SCOTTISH PROGRAMME REVIEW

Since 1989/90, the first season in which all Scottish League clubs played each other four times per season, the awards have been judged by the programme editors themselves. Prior to that, the awards were judged on an arithmetical basis over many categories, and were not judged within divisions. For the sake of simplicity, the top division is named “Premier Division” throughout these listings, this appellation not being used until 1975/76. For the three seasons of the awards prior to that, it was Divisions One and Two only.
